The innovative LysisTimer by Hyphen BioMed – now available for rapid assessment of Global Fibrinolytic Capacity (GFC)!
- First, the plasma sample is clotted using a thrombin reagent. Upon addition of t-PA, the formed clot gradually dissolves, leading to an increase in light transmission. The LysisTimer records and analyzes this change in real time. A sample with normal GFC shows a lysis time of 30–60 minutes, while a lysis time of <30 minutes indicates hyperfibrinolysis and >60 minutes indicates hypofibrinolysis.
