Special Calcium Chloride solution (0,025 M) with heparin neutralization
Description
Special Calcium Chloride solution for heparin neutralization in aPTT assays using automated methods. The ready-to-use reagent contains calcium chloride at an approximate concentration of 0.025 mol/L together with a heparin-neutralizing substance, allowing direct application on coagulation analyzers.
The formulation has been specifically developed and validated for use with HYPHEN BioMed aPTT reagents. It supports reliable coagulation testing in heparinized samples and contributes to stable, reproducible results in routine laboratory workflows.
Special Calcium Chloride is supplied ready to use and can be loaded directly onto the coagulation analyzer after homogenization. The reagent remains stable for up to 60 days after opening when stored at 2–8°C and protected from contamination or evaporation.

Special Calcium Chloride is intended for heparin neutralization in activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (aPTT) assays performed using automated methods.
The reagent minimizes the effect of unfractionated heparin (UFH) and low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) on aPTT measurements up to 1 IE/mL, supporting accurate coagulation testing of heparinized samples.
