Description
The 5-ELISA ACE2 Antigen kit is a sandwich ELISA, designed for measuring Angiotensin Converting Enzyme 2 (ACE2) antigen in plasma or in any biological fluid where it must be tested.
ACE2: The soluble form of the “Angiotensin Converting Enzyme 2” (ACE2) is present in plasma at very low concentrations in normal population and tends to increase, in clinical circumstances with hypertension, as the result of a cell surface cleavage by ADAM 17. Soluble forms of ACE2 in plasma have been reported as good biomarkers for cardiovascular diseases/heart failure (see attached paper).
Intended use
Measuring Angiotensin Converting Enzyme 2 (ACE2) antigen in plasma or in any biological fluid.
